The CCCS Early Childhood Program
A developmentally appropriate, child-centered community of PreK, Kindergarten, and First Grade learners focused on Spiritual, Academic, and Social growth.

Interactions among classes

The Early Childhood staff will strive to create a close-knit community among our youngest CCCS students. Activities such as a sensory hall, shared holiday activities, and Buddy Readers are examples.

Hallway safety
-
PreK will arrive/dismiss through the outside classroom door at 8:00 am and 2:30 pm.

The door into the early development hallway will be monitored for security

Specials
-
Students will participate in the following Specials: Art, Technology, Music, and P.E.

Social Skills Instruction
-
Students will participate in social skills instruction at each grade level.

PreK students will receive informal daily instruction through interactive lessons and coaching by the PreK staff.

Kindergarten will participate in lessons through the Kelso program.

First Grade will utilize the Auto B. Good program.

Teachers will utilize the Catholic Connections Crosswalk in the Superkids Language Arts program to enhance social skills instruction.

The Early Childhood staff will utilize classroom management plans with shared vocabulary and behavioral expectations to maximize consistency from grade to grade.
